A Lily for Oma

A Lily for Oma

At Chantry Hooking a few years back wow 2004 seems like yesterday!  I took upon the undaunting task of another flower... (I do not have a green thumb at all) !!!  Jeanne Fields was the teacher and ever ever so patient!  We dyed the wool in very long strips and hooked in lengthwise for the petals... this hooking now stands alone on a wall - I don't have exact size but it would be around 24" by 36"...  Joan Rigby did the Lily too asf I recall, smaller and more than one flower but with similar colours, it was lovely as well.

I gifted it to my husband's Mom right after it was finished as it was from a snapshot of a lily at property they own out of town.  Close to the colour in the photo although today I would probably enjoy doing a darker orange lily whicn we see all over!

As I dig up more or finish another, I will post it up.
Happy Hooking
Barb...
